Surely if its in a jar on a shelf it should be ok?
Anyone know?

I have no idea what the ridicolous and inconsistent rules say about this, but if it's unopened then why not. Surely it's no different to mayonnaise (ie on egg content) and will be fully pasteurised. Unless the preg food police tell you not to eat that either (sigh....)
It is a totally personal decision as to whether you follow the constantly changing rules, but I never haven, just been sensible about knowing where food came from and how it has been stored.

All food in jars is fine. It is shelf stable and probably has a best before date coming up in about three years time.
Freshly made hollandaise might be different, but the stuff in a jar is just the same as eating mayo, which is also fine.

jar = good.

Yes, it's fine. And if it has been opened recently and been kept in the fridge, you can eat it as well.

Homemade mayo may pose some risks. Stuff in the jar is fine.
