I wondered if anyone can help. My dd is 8 months old. She currently has a cold, teething and an infected finger, were not sure how!
She is eating fine but is completely off her milk she pushes her bottles away, ive changed the nipple, kept it cold warmed it up but nothing!
Its been going on for about 4 days now.
I wouldnt ask but im 30 weeks preg and shes not sleeping through the night and its killing me!! Thanks in advance x

I honestly have no experience with this but you could try some milk from a cup or a spoon maybe? Is she drinking anything else? Is it just milk she doesn't want?

I remember when DD was sick when she was around 14 months she went off milk and food altogether for a couple of days. We were so worried ! But the doctor advised that she'd be fine as long as she was drinking something, even water. He advised to give her fluid, including those dehydration sachets, through a large syringe. She was fine after a couple of days and boy did that appetite come bouncing back!

So, perhaps try a syringe of juice, water, milk or dehydration liquid?

I've been given rehydration sachets for my DD at a similar age too. Maybe try a trip to your GP tomorrow?

Have you looked in her mouth at her throat? My DD (19 months) had a high temp I thought she was getting a cold, she then refused her bedtime bottle and her dummy.

Turned out she had acute tonsilitis. Not suggesting its that but maybe a sore throat is putting her off her bottle?

Hope she is feeling better soon x

This wouldn't help with the milk issue, but when my baby was full of cold I found the plug-in Karvol vaporisers (I got mine from Boots) wonderful - defo won us a few extra hours sleep! Best of luck, sleep deprivation is torture at any time, unbearable at 30 weeks!
