Mine started at 29/30 weeks

Glamorous this pregnancy lark

TinkerMaloo · 24/01/2012 10:12

DC1 they started at around 30 weeks
DC2 they never leaked not even a drop, was worried that i would have no milk but it came in strongly after about 18 hours!

JambalayaCodfishPie · 24/01/2012 10:17

It never happened with DD, but ive got really prickly boobs this time round so it expecting it may happen. Not yet at 27wks, but plenty of time!

sasslejaney84 · 24/01/2012 10:18

with #1 is was at about29/30 weeks, was so bad towards the end (i did go overdue) i had to change my breast pads every 2 hours

MrsHuxtable · 24/01/2012 10:20

Is this something that should have happened by now? I'm almost 38 weeks!

sasslejaney84 · 24/01/2012 10:25

MrsHuxtable to be honest i wouldnt worry.... my best friend never had any boobie type leakage with any of hers and she's had 5!!

MrsHuxtable · 24/01/2012 10:54

Phew! Just when you start to relax, something new comes up. Pregnancy, eh?! Grin

Haribojoe · 24/01/2012 11:01

Currently 31 weeks with DC4, have never had leaking boobs while pregnant, once my milk comes in it's a different story, DH now knows to stand well back when I'm feeding baby Grin

justhayley · 24/01/2012 14:50

I'm worried I'm not going to make any, I'm 26+3 weeks and my boobs arnt hard or sore or anything - hope they sort themselves out and start leaking lol

notcitrus · 24/01/2012 15:37

Just realised no leaking yet at 36w - whereas I'm sure I was a bit by 35w last time!
Here's hoping I might avoid 6 months of sogginess post-birth, then - though in fact as soon as I decided I'd had enough of the left breast and was going to stop using it, I had no more leaks and very happily bf'd for another 8 months!

Flisspaps · 24/01/2012 15:42

I've NEVER leaked as such (not even after DD was born) but I was able to express from 12wks first time round, and have continued to be able to express ever since, even when not BF or pregnant Blush

For those of you who are concerned you won't be able to BF - please don't be. Whether or not you leak in pregnancy gives NO indication of whether or not you will be able to BF. Not producing enough milk is very uncommon, and it's the detachment of the placenta from the uterus that triggers milk production rather than anything else.

atalantis · 24/01/2012 17:57

V. early with DC1: around 20 weeks. Better with DC2 and now 29 weeks with DC3 no leakage at all. Hopefully my body's got the idea this time around!

ItsTimeToBurnThisDiscoDown · 24/01/2012 19:58

I didn't leak during pregnancy and only leaked postnatally after growth spurts, I've been bf for nearly 6 months now so don't worry about supply, as Flisspaps said.
