STOMACH PAINS. ACHEY/CRAMPS. JUST HAD BFP

Hiya,

i jsut got a bfp on tuesday. was due on on sat. so it makes me 4+5 today. however since last thursday ie been getting stomach pains. no blood or aything though.

anyone got any ideas?

Are they like period pains ??

I had period pains for a few weeks after I got BFP's. Felt like I would get my af at any moment.

thats what it feels like.

this is baby no.3 and with the other 2 i didnt have alot of pain, a little bit but i bled with both. so fingers crossed i guess.

i gather you went on to have healthy pregnancies?

How severe are they? If they are severe maybe get checked out, to be on the safe side.

As it happens i had quite problematic pregnancies with all 3, but non of that was related to the pains at the start.

I asked my midwife about it once and she said it was quite commen.

If the pain gets really bad and/or you start bleeding, then I would see your g.p.

not breathtaking, but enough to make me want to leave work and go home to bed. however i cant do that.

its just a dull ache really.

Perhaps worth seeing your g.p then, although i'm afraid at this stage they will probably say there is nothing they can do and you just have to wait and see, as you are not bleeding.

i had awful pregnancies with my other 2. OC, SPD, Group B Strep, Hameoorage during labour, babies in scbu. etc etc !

so im sure this one wont go smoothly, just hoping i can keep it cooking!

gave up smoking when i got the positive (didnt even know i was preg and kept denying it for a few days!!) and now taking sanatogen pronatal and hopnig to do everything right.

will these pains go soon do you think?

i wont go to gp until next week to tell him im preg as ther eis nothing they can do at the moment. hopefully itll be ok.

i feel tired and sick, so they seem to be good signs!

carlyp the aches you describe are how I knew I was PG with dd2. They were actually part of my normal PG symptoms with dd1 up until about 8 weeks.

I think I had mine on and off for about 4 weeks, but they were more niggly than painful.

Your pregnancies sound as eventful as mine.

thanks for you reassurances. my h would love a DD after 2DS's. however im betting on DS3..........going for a rugby team!! LOL

however according to babyworld gender thingy it could b a girl. guess she is being a pain already!!!!!

I'm at the same stage of pregnancy as you. I also have the cramps and went to see the GP on Monday (as I had a small amount of spotting the day before which stopped),
I mentioned these cramps and she said it is the uterus contracting for the pregnancy. I had them with DS which is why I had an idea I could be pg.

I had pains with 3rd pregnancy, during the 1st couple of weeks, around when af was due, but everything was fine and my twins are now 13 months!!!!

dont get me started on twins! id love twins!!!!
