confused over pains :-S

hey guys, i'm really confused at the moment, im 8 weeks gone and have had some very odd pains.... i dont know if they are normal or not!!

this is my second baby but my daughter is nearly 8 and tbh i didn't find out i was pregnant with her until i was 12 weeks gone so early pregnancy is a mystery to me!!

My midwife is crap and no help, I've had a phone call from her and she just said its nothing and then hung up!!!

I've been having the odd niggle pain, mainly just like period cramps which havent been anything major... i've been told by my friend (who had a baby 8 weeks ago) that these are normal...

I've had one really bad pain, which seems to have been trapped wind (I dont know about anyone else but I've been so windy its unreal!! sorry for TMI)

can anyone help...???

Hiya, if it's any help I REALLY suffered from trapped wind early on in my pregnancy and agree that it can be scary because any pain in that general area can make you paranoid.

Keep reminding yourself that there is all kinds of stretching and growing and general moving around going on in there and it would be weirder if you didn't feel anything!

Try not to let it worry you, it all sounds perfectly normal to me.

I had a lot of 'period pain' in the 1st trimester - in fact, it was enough when I missed my 1st period to convince me for a good week that my period was coming and I was just a few days late.

There is an awful lot of stretching and rearranging going on and it seems that most people do feel pain, even quite a lot of pain. I wouldn't worry too much about it, but of course raise it with your midwife at your booking appt if you are concerned
