Hi ladies,

Im 31+3 and im on a low daily dose of asprin to treat bilateral notches in my arteries going to uterus. Without the asprin my blood would not get to baby properly and would stop his growth.

Everything is fine asprin working great and baby boy is growing perfectly on track :)

I have been told by midwife that you can only take asprin until 36 weeks as it takes a week for blood to get back to normal thickness for birth, has anyone else had to take asprin and what happens after 36 weeks?

Will i be induced? will my baby stop growing if im left to go full term?

any experiences would be great to hear xxx

Hi, I am on aspirin too and have been told by my consultant to keep taking it until delivery. I would ask the consultant, not the midwife when you should stop taking it and if i were you, I would want to ask the consultant about being induced at 38 weeks. I am on it for severe early onset pre eclampsia in my 1st pregnancy which resulted in me losing the baby at 24 weeks, despite no sign of pre eclampsia so far this time the consultant wants to induce me at 38 weeks (currently 32 tomorrow) and has told me to keep taking the aspirin until delivery. To be honest, I wouldnt want to stop taking it in case it is the aspirin that has made all the difference.

I am on aspirin for blood clotting problem. Took it last time and consultant told me to take it til 36 weeks. I then went into labour at 39 weeks. Think will be doing the same again this time. Check with a consultant at the hospital.
