Preganancy and overactive bladder treatment

Hello. Has anyone out there taken medication to treat an over-active bladder during pregnancy? I have suffered with severe Overactive Bladder Syndrome for over 12 years. I am currently taking medication called trospium chloride (Regurin), which massively improves my symptoms. My husband and I really want to start a family but the trospium is rated a category C, i.e. it should only be taken during pregnancy if the benefits outweigh the risks. Has anyone else been through this?

Hi, i have bladder issues but was not in medication for it. I think yours is a very specific question and i doubt your GP can give you a firm answer. You may well be referred to a consultant OB. Definitely find out sooner rather than later as bladder is affected big time by pregnancy, labour and delivery.
Good luck!
