Hi, have googled it & lots of people say much the same & were told it is the baby getting ready to engage & the shooting pains are pressure on the cervix!! Only really get it when I walk...have to walk at a snails pace now or it is uncomfortable! Was told last week head is down but not engaged & have another midwife app on fri but just wondered if anyone else is experiencing similar symptoms. BP is fine & no bleeding, deffo not cramps just shooting sharp pains really low?? Thanks in advance x

ME!!! it's sooo annoying isn't it! i've been having it for weeks now 39 weeks and still happening. Babys head is now fixed down there so it's a good thing :) MW just told me to take some pain killers i usually take them about 20 mins before i'm due to go anywhere i'll be walking for more than a few mins.

I have a three year old, but I remember those at about the same time of pregnancy. Couldn't walk very far either, despite really wanting to. Think it got a little better towards the end.

Ah thank you ladies, I am a high risk pregnancy patient due to previous infant death so am kinda a worry wort bordering on neurotic!! ;) being very well looked after at my local hospital so I have every faith in my MW & consultant but the niggles are always there & will be until my little man is here safe & sound, so to hear other peoples experiences is very reasuring, thank you x

Really can't wait to have my body back now, I make so many huffing & puffing noises because of the effort it's beginning to take just to get through the day that I sound like my 87 year old Nan!!! lol :)
