Horrible cough!

Had a cold/cough for about 2 weeks now, the cough is actually getting worse and I ache all over from it and neither I or DH are getting much sleep. I'm waiting for a call back from NHS direct as am quite reluctant to go to GP unless they tell me (GP's are a bit rubbish). My question - and it's probably a daft one is will the baby be ok? I'm 30+2 and i'm worried she's getting crushed from me having near constant coughing fits. Still getting plenty of movement btw. Should I be concerned?

I had terrible coughs towards the ends of both pregnancies. I felt wretched but the babies were fine. Have I told you my funny coughing so hard I was sick and wet myself story?

Haha! I must admit I felt compelled to go buy some always envive (slightly less embarassing than tena I think) just to be on the safe side.

hi sausage can you get dp to rub your feet, the lymph for the lungs is inbetween the toes on the top of the foot, both sides and then lungs themselves are across the whole of the ball of the foot, rub in some cream and give the area a massage, it might help to ease the coughing (might make it worse at first as it does promote clearing) but will be nice and relaxing for you. Just avoid pressing up the inside of the lower leg (pressure points) just a thought.

i have same cough. keep weeing myself. i am worried because i am booked in the c section in four weeks. i cant be coughing while they are trying to cut me open :( !!!!

I've had a cough which has caused me to vomit and wee myself too. Nice huh? I've luckily just knocked it on the head. As for your dilemma Keely - yes - you need to sort it out before the c/s. That idea is too dreadful to contemplate.
