Hi all I'm hoping someone can give me some advice I'm 11wks and suffering really bad with spots :(
Was wandering is there anything you can recommend to use to help minimize the amount I get. Some seem to go away and as soon as that's going out comes another :(

Hi Danie I had two fairly big clusters of spots - at one side of my nose and on my chin - from about 7-13 weeks. They would seem better for a day or two, then flare up (and were kind of sore too, like a pin prick feeling).
They eventually faded and never came back, thankfully. I was really stressed about it (shallow, I know) as I googled and read that they could stay until after the birth. I didn't have spots as a teenager so this was a first for me.

The only thing I did differently was to switch to a non-oil based moisturiser. Whether that had any effect, I don't know. They might have disappeared on their own anyway. For what it's worth, I've since heard from several people who only had this problem in the first trimester, so hopefully yours will not be long in buggering off! Smile

Hi! In weeks 8-14 (I think) I really struggled with greasy hair and skin even though I hadn't changed anything in my routine, it has gone back to 'normal' now still using the same j&j face scrub and clarins face cream. I did find that over the Christmas perios when I had a full face of make-up it did flare up again so I've stopped wearing foundation on the few occassions I would have. I think it's just all of the hormones unfortunately, I wouldn't go and spend a fortune on lotions and potions though as hopefully it will settle down soon. good luck!Xx

I think I'm right in saying you can use a benzyl peroxide based cream, i.e. Oxy-10 or something in pregnancy. But check with your doctor etc.

It is hormones - I got some when I came off the pill but now I'm actually pregnant they have gone away! Guess everyone is different. But you should still go to your GP if you are concerned - just because you're pregnancy doesn't mean you should put up with stuff.

Thanks both missgiraffe1 I'm also stressing over them :( these are all over my chin I will get some non oil based moisturiser. They are very annoying I don't wear foundation as I used 2 suffer with spots when younger so I've never wore it. Fingers crossed they bugger of soon then :)

Im the same have a large spot on my cheek at the minute and I never get spots there usually, its just the hormones though.
I would avoid anything really strong on them as my skin has also gone quite dry, they will just go on there own just annoying as were supposed to be glowing but i feel anything but glowing :)
