This is hopfully a bit silly but i'm about 5 weeks pregnant with no2 and really happy. However I haven't got any symtoms and feel really worried that because of this when I go for the 12 week scan they will say it's all a mistake. I think I feel this way because I know several people who have had miscarriages at this stage. If you lose the baby do you always cramp or bleed? Is it possible to get to the 12 week scan and the baby to have died without you noticing any pain etc. Sorry to sound so depressing!

I remember this bit well! I'd guess you have another week or two to go before all the symptoms hit you. Then you'll wish you didn't have them.

Can't answer about whether you can lose the baby with no symptoms. But I do know that a lot of (most?) women have no symptoms at 5 weeks even though everything is ok.

Congratulations!

Try not to worry, am pregnant with no 2 myself found out at 8 wks and couldnt believe it as felt absolutley fine. No sore boobies or anything, had even lost a stone for holiday. But about 2 wks later..... Bleauxxx was worse than I was with number one. Good luck and enjoy, you may sail through this one.

aw thanks. I guess there are those women who give birth without even knowing they're pregnant too!

Congratulations Lucy!
I had practically no symptoms throughout... felt sick once (at around 8 weeks), had tiredness which was easily confusable with work tiredness, and very slightly sore boobs at the very beginning. ds is 8 months tomorrow!

I think loads and loads of people feel total frauds until they get to the scan! THink it's really normal. I always had the totally irrational idea that I'd get there and they'd say, 'oh don't be silly!' and send me home.

LucyJones · 17/01/2006 19:20

that's exactly how i feel Aloha!! I think because the GP didn't confirm either (because home pregnancy tests are meant to be so good it makes me wonder if I'm just imagining things!!

had no symptons that early with either pregnancy - in fact can remember telling dmil that I was feeling great at about 8 weeks or so. Tempted fate with that - two days later - wretched morning sickness hit.
