Hello lovelies I got off my bum and went to yoga today it was a lovely relaxing class and I cried as I realised I was so anxious with wanting everything to go well. I have been giving thought to yoga and pilates and my thoughts are that pilates would be good for after the birth, but it is strengthening and toning more than yoga with seems to encourage more 'openning up' which makes more sense to me for birth prep. Does anyone else have any views on this? I always did pilates up to conception but now feel a gentle yoga class better?

oh and also, does anyone else feel uncomfortable in the rectum area when sitting direct on the floor? it's not muscular, must be colon or something else protesting?

I did both during my pregnancy with DS2 - pilates good for strengthening back (had terrible back ache in pregnancy with DS1) but yoga good for focusing on breathing, stretching and making connection with your baby.
