Sorry - so many questions -
We don't know how far gone I am - anything from 3-7weeks we think (no period!) - should I be feeling sick? Occasionally feel a bit wobbly but not nauseous.

Am I weird for feeling the need to keep doing pregnancy tests to check that I really am pg?

Saw doc this am and seeing midwife next week. I just want to know how far on I am and when I am due - and that everything is ok.

Hope you've all had a good day

Some people feel sick from the moment the egg is fertilised, others don't have a single hint of it, at all, every.

You're not weird for doing repeated pg tests, but once you run out (of tests, or money to buy tests) then perhaps that's time to stop Wink

You probably won't get an idea of how far on you are until your dating scan at around 12 weeks, as both the GP and the MW will work on your LMP date until the scan gives you a better idea, so don't pin too many hopes on getting an EDD next week.

Congratulations! Grin

When I was about that stage first time around I used the tools on babycentre.co.uk to work out a rough due date. It can be useful to give you an idea, although it isn't as accurate as you'll get from your dating scan. Actually, I quite liked the whole website for information written in an easy to understand way.

Not at all!

If it helps some women don't get morning sickness, in the grand scheme of things, I felt about the same, was sick twice the entire pregnancy and not even massively sick just (TMI) sick in mouth had to spit it out kind of thing iyswim?

Good luck with seeing the midwife, you wouldn't have been booked in to see her if the doctor didn't think you were pregnant.

Hope this helped!

I didn't feel sick at all when pregnant with my son. I have been pregnant three times since (unfortunately miscarried each time) and I had some sickness then. Am now pregnant again (6 weeks) and feeling a bit queasy. So it's no indication whatsoever! I know how it feels to desperately want to know everything is ok but, frustratingly, it's just a scary waiting game.
Also, you may be wasting time and money on pregnancy tests - the hormones that make you test positive stay in your body for some time after you stop being pregnant.
Good luck - I'm sure you'll have a successful pregnancy. Thinking of you!

Ah the waiting game is horrendous, and it's only just starting!!! I'm only in pregnancy test obsession because we were so sure that I would struggle that I can't believe it!

Hope your pgs go ok - thanks for all the help

I started to feel sick at 6 weeks. I also kept testing as I was so scared it was wrong! I think its all perfectly normal or you're just wierd like me Grin

holls2000 · 17/01/2012 06:41

Thanks so much - I never thought I could worry so much about what is, effectively, a button in my tummy (not my tummy button lol!)! Never eat breakfast and here I am with weetabix in front of me!!

Hopefully I will get over this worrying stage or everyone will hate me!!!!!

Good morning.....

Why do you think you could be 3-6 weeks does no period mean you don't have them?

Also have you tried to cb digital test, it may give you an inidcator as if only 3 weeks you will get a 1-2 result if 6 you should get a 3+ result??

Congratulations and good luck :)

oreocrumbs · 17/01/2012 09:31

Hate to tell you holls but you will worry from the day to see that blue line till your last on earth!! But they are worth it and you do chill out Grin

holls2000 · 17/01/2012 20:05

Thanksoreocrumbs I am beginning to realise that.

goingmadtrying I have pcos and so only have had one natural period, the other was Norethisterone aided in October! Seemingly, I can still ovulate though!

Have done many species of PG test - the first one was a boots own one that only works from the day of missed period and I did a clearblue that said 2-3 weeks but midwife thinks 5 (for some reason). OOooh my confusing body.

Hope I will chill out! Feel I am ignoring work in my little bubble of "oooh wow"ishness.

Congratulations must be a fantastic feeling for you :)
2-3 on cbd would equate to 4-5 weeks pg as that gives u time from conception not weeks pg :)
