swollen veins in delicate places

hello all,
I am 15 weeks into pregnancy three and have started having genital varicose veins - anybody shared this delightful side effect of pregnancy? Sometimes it is so bad I can't stand for more than 5 minutes and it can be uncomfortable even sitting. Has anybody else had this problem and found some soothing method (other than sitting on a packet of frozen peas?)? My modwife said something along the lines of grin-and-bear-it but I am not looking forward to another six months of this - and it will only get worse!
thanks all!

Are the veins from your front of back bottom? Sorry, just trying to work out if you're talking about piles!

I have them in my vagina :( I didnt develop them until around the 32 week mark. Mine don't sound as bad as yours tho, maybe you need to see a Dr or mw again and explain exactly what's going on. Ie can't stand for very long.

No, not piles... amazingly I have been spared those so far. In simpler terms, swollen veins in my fanny. Pretty much puts an end to some activities with mu husband, but that is hardly the worst thing!

Oh god. You've reminded me of when I had vulval varicose veins Blush
They used to ache if I stood too long and they were lumpy :(
They went away quickly after I'd given birth and I didn't get them with dc3. Possibly because I had a job that required me to be on my feet all day with my first 2 but had a desk job with dc3.
