Hi ladies I am 30+2 and the past few days started feeling unwell and down. I have been having headaches nausea and my fingers are starting to swell. I am not sleeping well as my hips are hurting so much at night. I haven't gone to work today and I feel so terrible been off a fair bit terrible sickness and frequent utis. I am supposed to finish at 37 weeks but I know I am going to have to bring it forward which means 2-3 weeks no pay at end of maternaty leave which is making me panic. I am getting upset with how I am going to cope with next 10 weeks! I was really enjoying my pregnancy but now just want baby here. Sorry to ramble any advice appreciated Xx

As your fingers are swelling and you don't feel well, go and see a midwife as soon as possible to be checked for pre-eclampsia. As you say you've been headachy, this means today.

It's also possible you've picked up a cold or other minor lurgy, in which case you may well feel better in a couple of days (I do hope so!). But please go and be checked.

If you are having headaches and swelling I think you should contact your midwife or day unit (if you don't have number for day unit, ring del suite and they will transfer you where needed) and get assessed. The doctor may also be able to give you a sick note if required and therefore doesn't affect your Mat Leave. But with those symptoms i'd want you to get checked.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Yup, definietly get seen TODAY and as soon as possible. Go to A&E if you can't be seen by a midwife pretty quickly.
FX it's "just pregnancy" but def. make sure they check your BP twice (when you frist see them and then before you leave) and if your BP is up 140/90 they need to be doing bloods asap.

Go and see the MW and get checked. (Hmm should head my own advice) xx
