Braxton Hicks??

Hi,

I just wondered for the past few hours I have been having really odd contractions in my lower abdomen and feel very heavy in my pelvis and around my lower bag and bottom.

I have also been suffering from really bad sickness and had a dickey stomach. On the whole they aren't all that painful but occasionally I have to catch my breath. I keep getting a temperature and difficulty getting comfortable. I had a mucus white discharge this morning (TMI sorry) on going to the bathroom not a lot but never had it before.

I am 25 weeks gone so hoping it is just Braxton Hicks

You sound concerned so I really think you should
Be seen by a midwife or doctor as soon as possible.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 15/01/2012 19:46

Thanks hairytaleofnewyork I am very concerned but I will feel very stupid if it nothing. xx

Better to feel stupid than not get checked out!

I'm 39 weeks and have been checked over a couple of times when worried and I've found the doctors/midwives really lovely and understanding - when I told GP I felt a bit silly she told me to come any time I wanted.

Please do go and be seen - it will put your mind at ease!

Hey, yummy - I'm sure it's nothing but the way I figure it is, if your little one had these symptoms would you get him checked by the doctor - of course you would! So I'd book an appointment for you & little Harry in the morning. I'm sure you'll get the all clear - but you don't want to be worried and causing the little man any stress, do you?

Well that's the way I've been approaching my pregnancy anyway: and no GP/MW worth their salt will think any less of you.

All the best!

...also I've not had BH yet (I don't think!) so can't help there...

Yummymummyyobe1 · 15/01/2012 21:58

Thanks Ladies. They have become less regular but still painful.

Little Harry and I are going to try and see the MW tomorrow. I think at the moment Harry is trying to see how many ways he can make mummy uncomfortable.

So far we have:

  1. The Rib Rumba
  2. The Tummy Twist
  3. The where am I Waltz
  4. The Bump Boggie woggie I will make you uneven
  5. The Acid Indegestion Argentine Tango

I am sure there will be more to come.

xx

If as you said you have High temperature (i.e. 39 degC or higher) and have an upset stomach, then you should definitely see a doctor or midwife. They need to rule out any possible infection that could be passed on to your baby. I hope it's nothing thou.
