Its my first time using the talk boards!! I'm 10 weeks in to my first pregnancy and have been feeling nausia, tiredness and saw breasts since week 5. However, those feelings are subsiding now and I hardly feel any symptoms of pregnancy. Some may call this lucky but I'm freaking myself out with silly thoughts. We have a scan booked for 30th January so is only 2 weeks away. I just wanted to see if there was anyone else out there with similar things. Thanks.

That is very common. It is around that time that the placenta starts taking over production of the pregnancy hormones. It means you start feeling better!

There have been loads of threads about disappearance of symptoms. Mine came back after a few days respite, then settled much more around week 13 or 14.

Hello bickyell,
I am also 10 weeks and for the last few days I have been feeling a lot better. I had a private scan at 9 weeks and all was well and the sonographer said that she often got people around the 10 week mark panicking because their symptoms are easing. I am trying to enjoy feeling a bit better and not panic too much. Good luck for your scan!

Hi bickyell, I had the same in this pregnancy, I was sick and felt exhausted from 5-10 weeks, then I was super, excellent, no nausea, no tiredness and then bam, at 12 weeks I was so sick again, but that only lasted 1 week (thankfully) I was still so worried something was wrong and until my scan at 12 weeks I couldn't 'relax' .... its a shame when you get a week of feeling great you should enjoy it!

PoppyS34 · 15/01/2012 20:17

Snap! I've been feeling the same - ie absolutely fine. Even been back to the gym, and appetite has come back. Midwife said more or less the same as that's been posted above, that it's normal about 10 weeks (I'm 10+5).

My cramps and period-type pains have also gone. I was getting them pretty regularly, but I've not had anything for about a week now. That, and the symptoms subsiding, is a bit freaky, and was wondering today if it was normal (ie no stretching/growing pains).

There's always something to worry about :o

Good luck with your scan x x

I was the same, extreme tiredness at first, but hit 10/11 weeks and all went away, I didn't have any sickness at all

Lovemarmite · 16/01/2012 09:57

Was just about to start a thread with exactly the same question. I am also 10 weeks (tomorrow) and all my symptoms have gone.
I had ms bad over the weekend and then woke up this morning as if it's all gone away and I've had no pains for the past week and my tummy is flatter than it has been for a long time. Started to worry but was relieved to read this thread.

MiauMau · 16/01/2012 10:49

aaaaw, 10 weeks scare. It was around that time that I started crying in front of DP and saying that maybe there wasn't a baby and it was all gases :o

PoppyS34 · 16/01/2012 10:57

:o @MiauMau

Lovemarmite - I am exactly the same as you, I'm also relieved to read this thread.

Scan a week today, just want it done and dusted so i can move on to panicking about something else.. :)

(mental note to self - get a grip!! Blush)

hamncheese · 16/01/2012 12:04

thanks poppy... just called about 15 different people at the hospital eventually to get someone who told me that i should have the scan the same time as the booking... fingers crossed by the 26th fears will be away :)

bickyell · 16/01/2012 17:21

Thank you for all the replies. They've definitely put me at ease. Grin
