i had similar this week, doctor tested my wee and i've got cystitis. Might be worth ruling it out with your doctor/midwife, as if by any chance you have got the same, if left untreated he said it could cause miscarriage/premature labour. Apparently it's quite a common thing for women to get during pregnancy.

hi loopy thanks for post, i have been a bit of a cystitis expert in the past as had it really bad when I was young(er) but this doesn't have any of the normal signs, no pain weeing or funny colour wee I thought it might be ligament pain but not sure it has eased a bit after rubbing it... will keep an eye on it. what do you do at the weekend if you have a problem, phone the mat ward?

I would err on the side of caution and either phone for out of hours doc or call the early pregnancy unit and ask them.

Most likely it is either a muscular pain or a UTI (if the latter you will need to get it sorted ASAP with antibs, apparently UTIs in pg often asymptomatic) but if pain just on one side you do need to make sure it's not your appendix! Can be very serious, not worth just ignoring.

Do you have a walk-in centre you could get to?
