Talk to me about Penrice Birthday Centre, St Austell, Cornwall

Posted a thread recently about giving birth in/around Truro and Penrice in St Austell Community Hospital was recommended (I would prefer a birthing centre as that's where I had DS).

Anyone had any experience??

I've done the aa journey planner and it is 28 minutes from Treliske hospital - is this close enough do you think if anything goes wrong?? I'm sure they have experience of things going wrong but just wondering what people's opinions are.

Hi, I have similar worries, I like the idea of the birth centre better but am concerned about distance from the hospital should anything go wrong... Also have heard rather a lot of concerning reports of Treliske, especially regarding their post natal care. Not sure what to do...

Where did you end up having your little one in the end?
