Hello, can anyone who's had/having them tell me what these feel like? I've read stuff on't internet, but don't really feel any more enlightened. "Like labour" or "like contractions but without getting stronger / longer / more frequent" doesn't really help when you haven't experienced either.

Thank you!

For me, it felt like a hardening/tightening of bump. Bump would go all hard/tight for a few seconds or a minute, then relax again. It was not painful. But with DC2 they did get very uncomfortable as were very frequent towards the end, and would often result in my needing to wee, which would again set off another BH. Mine didn't start before about 25 weeks.

To start off mine were almost imperceptible. I only realised I was having them because I was at the doctor's and she said 'here's one!'. Gradually they became more obvious, the whole bump becoming hard, weird shaped and tense. They made me need to wee more frequently and I had loads of them if I did the same thing for a while, i.e. sitting a lot or walking a lot. I also had them during sex which put DH right off as he couldn't tell if I was OK or in pain!
