Not sure if i'm posting in the right place.... but will try anyway! My ID twin girls arrived 14weeks ago by CS. Ever since i recovered from the delivery the joints in my knees and ankles have been really throbbing and paining me. Does anyone know what this is? I thought maybe it was because of the 'extra' weight i was carrying around - that being said my girls were small and only weighed 3lbs 6 each. Any thoughts? Was thinking of going to the doc about it but then wondered if it is just something that will eventually fade away with time?!

I had very painful and stiff joints after giving birth - I think it is quite common. Someone will know what it is called. Mine was particularly bad when i got up. I remember thinking I might have arthritis! IIRC I found some information on here, which I have now forgotton Blush

it did get better over the course of a few months

And congratulations on your DDs.

It could be arthritis. Pregnancy is a common trigger for rheumatoid arthritis and you can find quite a few who have inflammatory type arthritis's after pregnancy. If it's really bothering you, discuss it with your GP and push for some investigation. If it is inflammatory arthritis can go away when the hormones settle or may warrant treatment.

thanks for the advise ladies! :) I think i will go and get it checked with GP just incase something more than sore joints as you suggest.

Twinnies I've had the same! Every morning when I wake up knees and ankles really stiff, it takes a couple of trips up and down the stairs every morning to feel normal. Its getting better now they're 24 weeks:).
