Irritable uterus

I had a bit of a scare yesterday and ended up overnight in the maternity hospital with fairly mild contractions. I'm only 26 weeks today and I have a history of spontaneous preterm birth (went into labour at 30 weeks with DD) so they're keeping an extra eye on me.

Midwife felt my tummy and confirmed three mild and two medium tone contractions in ten minutes. Dr prescribed morphine which thankfully made the tightenings go away.

I discussed with the midwife that I may just have an irritable uterus and I've been sent home with instructions to go in again if I am concerned.

I'm still getting tightenings and feelings of discomfort, not exactly pain. I have DH with me who can drive me if things seem to go up a gear, and I'm just ten minutes from the hospital. So I'm fairly relaxed about treating these tightenings as an irretable uterus thing rather than actual labour.

But I just wondered if anybody else had been through similar or had any thoughts etc!
