large lump in my tum and it aint babe.HELP!!! (long one sorry)

Hi guys

Im 20weeks pregnant with baba number 2..For a few weeks now i have felt on and off a lump below and to the right of my belly button..it hurts to touch and i get pains in my right hand side...its wierd cos it goes harder and sticks out more sometimes more than others (it isnt babe as that moves all over while the lump is there)..Anyway I mentioned it to the midwife and she said she couldnt feel anything (it wasnt feelable then..as I said it comes and goes..although mainly there most times..just typical it wasnt when i needed it to be!!!)sorry to blab on..anyway the midwife called the doctor in who said she thinks it a lipoma (fatty lump) but she wasnt sure and told me to mention it at my scan so they can look at it (my scans this friday)..anyway over the weekend the lump felt massive so i rang the hospital and spoke to a midwife who said it doesnt sound pregnancy related and that was it!!...thanks for your support love!! So now iv a lump thats gonna be scanned on friday and im dead scared its something horrid...anyone experience anything similar.. this lump was not there before pregnancy as id had a scan a few months before in that area for something else and it wasnt noted...HELP!!..sorry its such a huge read!!

It does not sound that anything nast ie cancer as that would not come and go.
It could be a lipoma changing depending on the position of the baby. could also be a hernia. Does it change in size ie protrude more when straining/coughing etc? Can you push it back in again when it is there?

No it doesnt pop back in when pushed...altho I have been coughing and did think it could be a hernia but its deffo not as doc didnt think so...i can only feel it when im led on my back but i dont have to go rooting..its there to feel quite easily..dh can feel it too..just wierd it gets bigger and smaller..and it aches!! babe is moving well so that makes me feel better but lump unrelated to where babe is at time of movement..

Hmnn... how about a fibroma then. Benign muscle tumour in the wall of the uterus? They would be fairly hard to touch.
