2nd baby due - Who to look after DS1 during labour?

Sorry if this seems like a silly question, but I have been debating what to do about childcare for DS1 (who will be 2yo) when I am in labour, since I'd like my husband to be with me at the hospital and closest family is 10 hours drive away! DS1 was also 7 weeks early so don't want to arrange for family to stay in advance since there is no telling when this one will arrive... Please can you share what worked for you?

Hi, we have this dilemma too, DC2 due in 5 weeks and no family close by. It's hard, isn't it? But do think about it and do get something organised, for your own peace of mind.

We have our baby-sitting regulars primed and friends have kindly offered to help out. They are really good friends who we can ask just about anything of. It's really important for me that DH is there too, and he will probably need to drive me to the hospital.

Good luck!
