I am 30+5 and so tired I feel sick. I have had a rotten cold which I am just getting over, had practically no sleep, and feel exhausted, sweaty, shivery and generally crapulous. However, I also have shedloads of work to do, but am not exactly cracking on with it due to feeling so shite. I am so tired I can't decide what to do. Help me, wise women of MN. Thanks.

Go home and tuck up on the sofa with your duvet.

I would say go home and rest and make it sound like pregnancy related illness as this shouldn't count as sick leave. Have a warm bath, change into clean PJ's cuddle up on the sofa watch some TV and eat you fav food. xx

yes go home. do you have a laptop you can sit like me on sofa under comfy duvet and i am getting things done god knows how with this headache. but whatever even if you don't get you home and resting.

yes, go home and put your feet up. I got doc to sign me off for a few days before xmas with a cold/chest infection and it was definately the best idea. If you push yourself too much when ill then it will take longer to get better and you could get worse. You and baby are the most important thing right now. Rest up and get better.

Thank you

Hi,

I'm going to give you some advice that nearly everybody else would give you and that is that you and your baby are the most important thing and work comes second, so on that advice go home, rest and get better. On the other hand I have a stressful job and when I'm ill I fight through it as work just piles up and up so if it was me I would, fight through do as much as possible, leave an hour early, have a hot bath, some food and a very very early night. That's probably not helpful, but thought I would try anyway :) Actually could you explain the 30+5 to me I am new on here and can't find what it means on the acronyms, thanks :) Is it you are 30 and 5 wks pg?

LoveInAColdClimate · 10/01/2012 13:30

I would in fact just be flattered if someone thought I might be 22 Grin. Off home to bed. Thank you all.

Just go home, you'll feel better for it :) You can catch up when you're feeling better. Hope you feel better soon.

Glad you decided to go home Smile If it helps I have good days where I get LOADS done, and other days when I seem to spend all day on the sofa feeling like death. But it all balances out in the end. Hope you are feeling better Smile
