Hi all

I'm new to this site, am 15 + 1 and am worrying myself senseless and have since I found out I was pregnant! Every little ache and pain gets me worried, I had a scan at 6wks and then at 12 and everything was fine, having another scan next Wednesday so 16 + 2 and then my 20 week at 20wks on the dot, so not like I've not been monitored! Luckily my scan next week is private but I can claim two back with work so that reassures me a bit...

Today I have like a pinching, quite sharp pain in my middle, just below my belly button. It comes and goes - and now I'm worried.

Anyone had this before? I think it could just be round ligament pain or indigestion but if anyone has experienced anything like that it would help reassure me. If anyone has any suggestions for anxiety in pregnancy that would help too - I've had anxiety in the past, did a CBT course and saw a CBT therapist, only had 2 sessions but seemed to get past it, but its reared its ugly head again...

Thanks all!
xx

The kind of pain you're describing is very common in 2nd trimester and it is due to everything there stretching and rearranging itself. I'm a worrier too, even though I'm lucky enough to be low risk and no medical illnesses. The one thing that helps me when I start to worry is what someone said to me "trust your body to do the right things". It's so true! Your body often knows better than your mind. You only need a bit of faith Smile

Thanks so much Mimosatree, some days are easier than others and I've actually been fine in the past few weeks, its just crept up on me and then with this pain today, but you're right, just need to have a bit of faith! I'm classed as low risk, just had an early scan due to my anxiety and have claimed my 16wk back from my healthcare cash plan which is brilliant. It just took us so long to get here, 18 months of trying, 2 months of infertility testing, I just want so much for everything to be okay!
Thanks for your message, feel less worried now! :)
