Hiding morning (anytime of day) sickness

Hi was wondering if any one could advise, I'm only 6 weeks but have started feeling nauseous and being sick already! I work in a all female environment and have spent a good 20 minutes being sick. I guess I was lucky that only 1 person walked in but I don't want to 'out' myself yet. How can I stop the gossip if this continues?

Poor you. It is the absolute pits. With both my pregnancies i had to come clean at work before 12 weeks because I was so sick. With dd1, someone guessed and said to me: "You're looking at the wastebasket like you want to throw up in it....do you have something to tell us?!", and with dd2, I let the managers know by email and was just regularly late to work, and in the loo a lot, until I was ready for other people in the office to know. All the toilets at work are very familiar to me...

Hopefully for you it won't last too long. Sorry, didn't really have any advice on hiding it!

i'm in a new job (started 3 jan) and am 6 wks pregnant. I have been really sick all last week and today i am exhausted and look like shite. Someone said to me 'are you pregnant?' i said 'no i think i've got a bug' but i don't know how long i can hide this :(

My 24/7 sickness started at week 6 and was finished around week 12.

No way I could hide something like that.

I've had it in all 3 pregnancies. I ended up having to tell family and friends as I ended up in hospital :( I don't think you can hide it. I'm lucky this time around I did manage to keep it quiet ice xmas but that's because its not as bad and starting taking the tablets early.

oh god sandra don't say that! i already feel like i'm having rosemary's baby!

Thanks for your responses. Really don't want to tell anyone yet as we've been trying for 2 and half years and were about to begin IVF before our amazing BFP so it feels a little unreal and too good to be true to be honest! Managed to keep dinner done so far so fingerscrossed for a sick free evening!

COngrats twizzle we were trying for 9 months and although the sickness is tedious (and hampering) it is worth it. Altho i may retract that at a later date!

Now...I've just eaten my dinner and i'm wondering if i can make it to the kitchen for a cup of fruit tea without losing it :(

Just some advice u could go to doctors ask them about anti sickness tablets as if u are being sick and hardly keeping drinks/food down you could come dehydrated. The doctors can test a urine sample from you to check ketones. I have had them for all 3 pregnancies and they are a life saver :). Will warn you I have found that some doctors don't like giving them out.
