I am in pain and need help

I am 11 weeks pregnant and have this very bad pain in my lower back. It is in my tailbone and it sometimes spreads into my right leg (the back of it and runs to almost the back of the knee). I have no bleeding and feel very pregnant. I have also had a scan which showed the baby is in the right place and is the right size and nothing to worry about. I am really worried as I am actually not in UK (in a war zone in fact) and I worry about what will happen to me as I go along and get heavier. BTW, I haven't even put any weight on at all in fact I have lost 4 kilos in last few weeks. Any help is highly appreciated.

It could be sciatica or spd, definately go to the doctor or midwife if you have one and see what they suggest.

:( I saw my GP in London and she told me not to worry and here in his hellhole that I work in there are no doctors I could go to. I will just sit here and wait to die of pain! Anyway, I will try and find a doctor tomorrow.

If the pain starts in your tail bone it could just be coccyx pain- I was in agony with this at about your stage. Apparently, the majority of us have broken this little bone at some point in our childhoods (it's delicate so just falling on your arse at some point would've cracked it) and although the initial soreness goes away it never actually properly heals. It is (strangely) connected to the uterus by ligaments so when the the uterus expands during pregnancy the coccyx gets tugged by the ligaments and pain is felt.

Whatever it is do try not to worry, it doesn't necessarily mean it will get worse as the pregnancy progresses, I think the initial stretching and growing in early pregnancy is actually quite hard on the body and can pass.
