Anyone else in their third trimester waking up in the middle of the night unable to go back to sleep then feeling ravenous after tossing and turning in bed for half an hour?
I've just had a whole packet of Balsen biscuits....I've never been a night snacker and I'm seriously concerned about picking up bad habits that will be difficult to give up when I'm trying to lose weight post pregnancy!

Me! I woke up about half an hour ago and have just returned from the kitchen with some hot weetabix and, Er, olives.... Had chocolate cheesecake at 4am yesterday. It's becoming a habit :D

Aquilla · 07/01/2012 03:24

immediately gets up for weetabix Me too! It's 3:22am and I've been tossing and turning for 3 hours so finally given up. The trouble is I've had a bit of SPD, meaning I can't do much during the day. So I'm not tired enough at night anyway. Combine this with a lifelong habit of Restless Leg Syndrome = 3am MNing!

It's huge bowls of sugar puffs for me! I've never loved them but at the minute they taste unbelievable!

Grumpla · 07/01/2012 03:51

Fuck I'm hungry. I might break into the emergency biscuits. Woken up my my leg going into spasm and DH not here tonight so I could eat something without having to share wake him up...

sillymillyb · 07/01/2012 03:56

Ooh sugarpuffs, I've not had those since I was a kid!

Ive moved on from weetabix to rennies now.... Hopefully be asleep by 5 (crosses fingers and hopes like hell!)

Haha joins in. I have a stash of those little pots of rice pudding- find those most effective in filling me up and getting me back to sleep after. Wish microwave was by my bed though. Currently lying here feeling hungry but CBA to go get one!

Grumpla · 07/01/2012 03:59

That's just reminded me, there's half a tin of custard in the fridge.

But the fridge is SO FAR AWAY!!!

sillymillyb · 07/01/2012 04:03

I seriously considered moving the toaster to the side of my bed when I had morning sickness.... It's becoming more tempting again now as well! Why oh why are kitchen floors so cold as well? I'm sure the barefooted hopping wakes me up even more!

Ugh. The acid woke me up and still hasn't abated... am debating whether a snack will make it better or worse...

And Grumpla - you've just made me want those cheddar biscuit thingies my mum used to put in my lunchbox...

stuffthenonsense · 07/01/2012 05:01

Ooh can i join this picnic.....31 weeks and really hungry right now...but if i get up and go downstairs the safety gate closing might wake up DD...that said DH is SNORING and keeping me awake and hungry so he can deal with her...but what to eat? I am getting sick of toast.

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 07/01/2012 05:10

Mini Cheddars! That's the bunny. I really really want a bag of Mini Cheddars now...

TopazMortmain · 07/01/2012 14:43

Oooh, I can totally add to this list.

Babybell (spelling?)

Fried eggs
