Feels like a giant stitch all over my bump. I'm fine reclining back but massaging my bump or standing up makes it hurt again. It's pretty constant so doubt i'm in labour, have I buggered up my stomach muscles somehow?

Trapped wind? In all cases I sympathise. Have had all sorts of aches and pains this pg - how far along are you?

kdiddy · 06/01/2012 12:57

I had this yesterday (am 38+5). Definitely felt like a stitch and was really uncomfortable to walk. I get it sometimes if I sit up too awkwardly or turn over in the night. That's when I can sleep of course!

Could it be Braxton Hicks? Mine have felt more like period pain but don't know if it could be that?

SausageSmuggler · 06/01/2012 13:18

Could be trapped wind but I've had that a lot this pregnancy Blush and it feels a bit different. I did do a poo earlier (sorry TMI) though so maybe it's linked

Flisspaps · 06/01/2012 16:41

I'm 27w and have had this a few times. I assume they're Braxton Hicks (had none with DD). Spent most of yesterday rocking and feeling very winded.

SausageSmuggler · 06/01/2012 17:08

surfmama braxton hicks actually occur all the way through pregnancy but some women don't feel them til much later on and others can't feel them at all.

How are you feeling today fliss?

surfmama · 06/01/2012 23:08

god thanks sausage i don't know anything at all so may keep asking bananas questions!

NotnOtter · 06/01/2012 23:12

not braxton hicks no
I get these a lot and they bloody hurt....dp thinks they are related to trapped wind and with me they last anything up to half an hour in varying degrees of agony? does this sound the same?

SausageSmuggler · 07/01/2012 12:19

Well this morning I feel better but the pain hasn't gone completely and walking more than 100 yards, even at snails pace results in an almighty stitch. Pretty sure I must have moved strangely yesterday and pulled something. Paracetamol didn't touch it last night but I suppose it wouldn't if it's muscular?

Glad to hear it fliss (do love your name btw Grin)
