Blood tests

I really should know the answer to this, it being my third pg, but......

Can anyone tell me if there are any 'standard' blood tests after 28 weeks? Am now 30 and got told I had anaemia when had 28 week bloods done so on iron tabs. But would like to have a homebirth (I did with DD2) and had this last time round and got told iron levels needed to be higher in order to do so. Am pretty sure there was one more blood test before birth last time but there's nothing about it in the planner in my notes and I saw MW today who didn't know (no community midwife at the moment - to say ante-natal care is hit and miss is an understatement, but that's another story....).

Just wanted to double check as don't want to get to a later stage and get told I should have had a blood test or that there's a problem with iron levels again.

Thanks!

I've got a consultants appt at 38wks and my MW had given me a form to ask them to blood tests again then. I'm not sure if this is standard because she said that I have a higher risk of anaemia due to a history of recurrent UTIs. However, if you already have anaemia I guess they'd do you again too.
Hope you get your HB.

Thanks for that - guess I just need to keep an eye on it. No community midwife at the moment, as she's off sick, so saw someone who's normally based on labour ward yesterday and she was lovely but just not sure about timescales, so am not convinced they'll chase me if I don't chase them - just glad it's not my first time.

Good luck with your pregnancy.
