Tummy muscles in 2nd pregnancy

I had my DD nearly 15months a go, and am due to give birth with DC2 on May 21st.

Where your tummy muscles stretch in pregnancy, does this mean any other pregnancies your bump will carry lower (less tight muscles) and also does this mean that your muscles will never go back to being strong?

I must admit after DD was born, I didnt do much exercise other than walking. I am still very slim, but i feel like i LOOK bigger in my bump because its "hanging more" rather than being the tight bump i had?? its very neat still but i know that my muscles arent the same..

I plan on doing a fitness class once this baby is born, not to lose weight, as i dont need to, just to tone my tummy and keep supple i guess.

Just wondererd if the way your tummy is affected first time determines how your bump will be 2nd time round?

ESSAY sorry

I definately showed earlier with my 2nd pregnancy. I had quite a bump by 12 weeks.

I grew less in the last three months, though, and also lost the weight quicker afterwards.

I had a bit of a tummy after, but not too bad. It just seems to have gone downhill when I hit 40!

Also does this enable you to carry a bigger baby?

I am a slim tall 22yr old... and DD was 8lb 9 to my surprise, and she was very "all bump" high, and football like...

Will I ever be able to get the muscles back~?

I would think that the younger you are, the quicker your body will get back into shape. And if you're lean to start with, i'm sure you'll soon gain your abs back with a few situps.

By the way, I'm 15 years older than you and I can safely my belly looks rather flabby (dc2 is 12 weeks old) but I've been having too many biscuits and too little exercise Wink and a tiny bit of Sad

That was a confused set of emotions!

I meant that I find it a bit funny how my body still looks persistently rounded but it's sad at times, especially when a friend recently asked me if I was expecting!!
