3rd Trimester Private Growth Scan - London?

Apologies for the duplication but also posted in childbirth.

Am 34 weeks and measuring 37!

Dc1 = 9 lb 11 oz, DC2 = 9 lb 8 oz so I 'do' big babies!

I need to think carefully about my birth options to do minimal damage to my hips (terrible PGP and am hyper mobile - after DC2 I couldn't walk pain-free for 6 months so am very anxious that this could happen again with 3 children under 3.5).

I would like to get a growth scan done so see how big this baby actually is. Can anyone recommend anywhere in SW London please?

Myultrababy in Kingston were really good when I had a scan there, and they do offer growth scans too www.myultrababy.com/west-london.html

And I had a 3D scan at the Women's Wellness Centre in Chelsea, but they also offer a variety of scans. www.womenswellnesscentre.com/

Both places have very modern equipment and friendly, knowledgeable sonographers.

Thanks so much for that - was looking at the Women's Wellness Centre as having DC at C&W but website made it look like you needed a referral? :)

Has mw refused outright to refer you for one? When I was "big for dates" they gave me an NHS growth scan with dd1, and I just had an extra late scan with this baby at little notice.

Alternately, try the Portland; they fitted me in same day for an early scan, you could ask if they do the same for a growth scan. I was v pleased with their service.

No refusal helium - I have a consultant appointment at 36 weeks and want to settle on a plan of induction or ELCS without being brushed aside. I figure that if I have information of a big baby then we can conclude an outcome without having to 'wait and see'. Dc2 also had a very knackered placenta and for my own peace if mind would like it checked. Portland is a bit of a trek (dc2 was under paediatric care there for a year!) but will defo call if I can't find somewhere closer, so thank you :)

Duh, I missed the SW London bit.
Good luck!

I didn't have a referral for the 3D scan. I'd give them a call tomorrow and see what they say. Good luck.
