We are 23 weeks and 4 days gone and have decided our DS1 will be called Harry.

We pondered Laurence & Oliver.

Justhayley - let me help you out here... NO, you most certainly shouldn't!! :)

Yummy :) Congratulations on choosing a name, and Harry is lovely :)

Yummymummyyobe1 · 06/01/2012 10:46

justhayley Also remember on Charles or Philip. Wink

kiki22 Cole Alexander is lovely.

yellowflowers thank you.

ChippingInLovesEasterEggs Thank you

We just have to decide now if we double barrel our surnames to Powling-Park, or if Harry will just be Park. What do we think?

I would love to hear other peoples LO's potential names.

I really really wanted for the longest time to call my baby Tomás (Portuguese for Thomas), but there's already two in DP's family and that would have just been overkill especially if you add the fact that it has an accent that doesn't exist in English. So we sat down at the table and came up with Vicente (you can guess what it is in English) which we're really happy with :)

Yummymummyyobe1 · 06/01/2012 12:47

MiauMau That sounds lovely :)

We have middle names sorted and the current status as of 22+3 (lots of mind-changing going on! is Anna Kathleen for a girl; Oliver Robert for a boy. We keep toying with Benjamin rather than Oliver, though...

Flisspaps · 06/01/2012 12:56

All lovely names :)

We have decided on both a male and female name for our baby, but aren't telling anyone until the baby is actually born, simply because when the baby is born the family will say 'oh what a lovely name' and smile, whereas if we tell them now then someone's bound to say 'oh, I don't like that' or 'I know an X and they're horrible'.

So I won't mention on here either, just in case I have unwittingly outed myself in the past.

Sandra2011 · 06/01/2012 13:37

We have Henry and next one is going to be William.

Rugbylovingmum · 06/01/2012 13:48

I'm only 21 weeks but already dreading trying to find a name DP and I can agree on - it took ages with DD. We are pretty sure that we are having a girl but the little tike wasn't in a great position so we want to have a boys name ready too. Actually the boys name is easier as we both like Reuben and Benjamin but I'm stuck for a girls name. We both like Eloise but it will probably get shortened - we don't like 'Lou' and we know 4 'Ellies already. So far DP has suggested Annabel, Ava or Isla but I'm not sure yet.

Anyway, enough rambling. I really wanted to say congratulations on finding a name you love. Harry is a great name!

newmummy4 · 06/01/2012 13:55

yummymummy this really made me smile, we have a Harry and always get lovely things said about his name. Fantastic name choice for your DS1.

We have just found out last week that we are expecting baby no2, so will be on name hunt again soon. x

kiki22 · 06/01/2012 15:43

Thank you Yummy i really like Harry it's lovely

Yummymummyyobe1 · 06/01/2012 15:50

mildertduck great names I liked Benjamin but DP didn't.

Flisspaps Sounds a good idea we were being asked non stop if we had a name yet. Smile

Rugbylovingmum they are all lovely choices and it is so difficult to find a name that you and OH can agree on .

newmummy4 You could use the names that made the list last time and weren't used. I love Harry, sounds cute.

kiki22 He feels like a Harry. Actually what does a Harry feel like?

My dd was going to be Daisy until she was born and looked nothing like one so at 3 days old she was finally called Georgia.
When we had the 2nd, I was not allowed to leave the delivery suite until we had a name for our son, so we agreed on Seamus!! Which created arguments between everyone we text as no one could agree on how to pronounce it!!
People have too many negative opinions on potential names names do don't let them put you off something you really like. Wink

kiki22 · 06/01/2012 18:31

yummy i know exactly what you mean mine feels like Cole hat is just who he is :)
