Anti-emetics safe?

Hi all, I've been prescribed 'cyclizine' and 'prochlorperazine' to be taken in combination to help calm down my morning sickness. I was really looking forward to starting them as the sickness has been pretty bad, but when I got them home both enclosed leaflets blare out 'DO NOT take if pregnant or trying to get pregnant'!!! What am I to make of this? One of them says 'unless advised by your doctor', which I obviously have been, but still...

Has anybody taken these before and been ok/ not ok? I imagine it's a 'risks to mother outweighing the baby' type thing, but does anybody know what the risks to the baby are? I can't imagine being ok taking any risk to the baby - I'd rather have this - debilitating - sickness for the full 9 months rather than risk losing this baby! Help!

Cyclizine has been safely used for decades and was initially developed as a seasickness drug. I used it for the entirety of my last pregnancy and my son is fine. I gather they can't say "totally 100% safe for pregnant women" because it would be unethical to actually test on pregnant women iyswim.

They've both been used for many, many years on thousands of women with no adverse effects reported. I took them over ten years ago. The reason the leaflet says that is because there have been no clinical trials on pg women. There aren't clinical trials on pg women for any medication as wouldn't be ethical.

Thanks both. I know I just need to start trusting what my GP prescribes really - it's just everything seems so scary - I'm terrified of accidentally doing something really stupid/ damaging!
