I had a positive test a few days ago and I'm due on my period today. I do feel pregnant but I am so paranoid as a had a mc last year. I'm now finding I can't sleep, did anyone else experience this so early on? Hoping its a good sign?xx

hello....i've got a 3 month old, among others. i think i did feel the same as you and similarly had miscarriage 18 months prior so was super nervous....this time last year i was in the same position and now he's upstairs sleeping in his basket!!! Try and get some rest!!! xx

is it anxiety keeping you awake or is it a pregnancy symptom?
i have a dd but have had several miscarriages too. i am currently 12 weeks with dc 2 and one of my earliest symptoms (even prior to knowing i'm pregnant), is that i don't sleep very well. i have been really anxious this time around (not that that keeps me awake) but have had a couple of scans and feel so crap (m/s, tiredness, insomnia, etc) that i am much more chilled now than i was but will be glad to have my 12 week scan next week.
it may be that your inability to sleep is a 'good' thing HmmSmile
hope it all goes well for you Smile

Hi Vix82,

I am only about 5 weeks and am having problems with insominia too. And did so in previous pregnancies, but dont remember it so early. Dont think its uncommon but there is a lot going through my head when I go to bed so that wont help.

Tried music, TV and hot milk but not helped.

Of course can drop off anywhere during the day!! (But dont so not due to napping)

Pretty much fell asleep at my pilates class last night Blush

Hello everyone, Im about 7weeks and can't sleep. davidsmom Im the same as you can sleep like a baby during the day but spend most the night up. Think it is a good thing, vix82 don't worry to much its not good for you!

I am same as you! Actually, I am at about 5 weeks and I can't sleep at all really! I was worried about it since I thought that in the first trimester one sleeps all the time - and I am quite the opposite. But it sounds like things can vary for different people so maybe we are totally normal really.

(See my other thread for one of the delightful things that woke me at 3 am - argh - thoughts welcome on that too).

Sorry ladies it doesn't get any better. I am 33 weeks and can't sleep. Mine was the opposite I slept great in the first 2 trimesters but have slept badly in the third.

I've had a son before who's 2 half who never sleeps either ha ha.
Its so hard not to worry,n I also don't want to get carried away. Wish I could tell my future!!
