30+ weeks now and have bleeding every 3 or 4 weeks since the beginning really. Always been checked out and everything always fine. But today I went for a follow up appointment after last bleeding before the Xmas break and I feel suddenly really worried. I think it was that the consultant wasn't as reassuring as every1 has been in the past... They want me to have scans every 4 weeks to monitor growth of baba and she said that's the only way they can check placenta is working properly. The bleeding is from the placenta breaking away but as it's only been slight bleeding it's probably fine. I asked if I was more at risk ofhaving an early baby and she said more risk than someone who hasn't bled but not as high a risk as 80-90%. just feeling really down and worried now. Anyone else had similar experience??

I had placenta preavia with dc1. I ended up in hospital for 3wks in case I bled heavilly. They told me the night before and I was very tearful. I did have a big bleed but was in hospital. If you need to go in for a bit take their advice. There are many mums in early. I wish you well. Its scary stuff pregnancy eh? Look after yourself you sound as if you are doing great.
