Hello, so sorry for posting on this but it's seriously doing my head in worrying about it and haven't spoken to ANYONE in RL :(

I'm in late pregnancy, about 32 weeks now and have had some kind of icky infection or something for like ...months now :( about early Oct got an awful chect infection and was really run down and started with what I thought was thrush too. First time have ever had it and was ridiculously embarressed Blush so instead of going to the docs after a couple of weeks just went and bought the relevant stuff from the chemist and treated. It didn't work, so after a few more weeks, tried again. Still didn't work. Had a m/w app during Nov and was so fed up managed to mumble something about the fact I thought I had thrush, she didn't seem very concerned and said it was normal and to just buy over the counter and treat.

So I thought am just being a twit, try again. Have treated 3 times now (at some flaming considerable cost too!) and still not cleared up. Last week went to docs finally as thought enough is enough and he was very cross that i'd not been sooner and has booked me in for a v/swab today. I am bricking it now. Feel so stupid that I didn't just go right way and worried that it could be something more serious or that by ignoring I could have put my baby at risk.

Discharge is super heavy, am showering twice a day, wearing pads but feel really dirty all the time. What's really started to freak me out is that I am soaking pads through in the last few days, worrying that perhaps my waters are leaking. (I'd gladly take a dicky bladder over that at this point)

Will see nurse today but will be another week before results come back and if I have one more sleepless night over this I will probably keel over. Sorry long and wittery but any thoughts anyone please??

:( feel so stupid. Just tried ringing m/w hoping can in to see her too while i'm at my GP's today.

I've spent the last few months running around after my family, DC's and friends and have only just looked up and realised the situation.

Firstly - increased discharge is normal in pregnancy, but you're doing absolutely the right thing in getting a swab done and contacting your MW.

Tell the MW about soaking through pads, they may ask you to come in and get the pad checked to make sure that it's not amniotic fluid.
