Constipation gone 'loose' (tmi!)

Sorry, for the tmi, but I'm 9 weeks gone and at the very beginning of the pregnancy I had some serious constipation, which I was told was a 'good sign'/ symptom, but for the last week or more the constipation has gone and I'm now having what can only be described as 'loose' loo visits - practically diarrhea!

Does anybody know whether this is normal, or a 'bad sign'? I'm sure I've read before that people can get this happen when they're miscarrying?!!!

It is more likely to just be your body getting used to pregnancy than anything sinister, my movements have been all over the place since getting pregnant this time, although if its proper Diarrhoea it's worth ringing Midwife for advice because you don't want to get dehydrated.

I've had this too, still having it at 33 weeks, Constipation alternating with "loose" days, I think its partly hormonal, partly me trying too hard then getting extreme redults, iykwim!!!

hello pease yes I had constipation and then complete load of watery poo for about 2 weeks at about 11 weeks. I put it down to emotional shit going on, it has passed and now I am doing nicely thank you! loads of windy pops though woke me up in the night bloody painful. anyway if it lasts get it checked out.

You could be suffering from "overflow". If you are constipated the faeces can become impacted. The looser faeces bypasses the impacted faeces, so you can have very loose motions or diarrhoea even though you are still constipated. It may be worth getting it checked out.
