So I think I ate some dodgy dairy this morning (note to self to avoid left overs in future!), and have had the runs and felt vomitty all day. I am just into the 3rd trimester, can someone reassure me that the bub won't be affected? Or is there a point to my worrying? Thanks Smile

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had gastroenteritis twice when pregnant with my DS (who's fine btw!). Once at 15 weeks and once in the alast trimester. Only problem I got was coping with d&v at the same time with a huge bump. Not pretty.
DS was fine. Try to keep up fluids and look after yourself, babe will be fine!

Echo what magnum said. Also
Probably worth checking with Gp or
MW tomorrow to be safe. And keep
Liquids up.

It's fine. You'll just feel a bit worse than you ordinarily would as you're pg. Your body will prioritise the baby.

Had D&V twice in last 3 months (am 40 wks). Felt awful, but NHS direct said not to worry unless lasted more than a couple of days, and to keep lots of liquids going.

Get some sugary squash and keep drinking.

Had severe food posioning twice in pregnancy. 2nd time severe enough to end up in hospital quite dehydrated at 28 weeks - just couldn't keep any fluids in without giving you TMI. Baby was absolutely fine throughout - was monitored frequently whilst I was unwell (and still is - now 12 mo).

Just what I wanted to hear, thanks ladies! Smile
