Pregnancy after tummy tuck?

Hi, I'm a regular but I've changed my name for this, some people on here know my in RL and I don't want everyone to know about this just yet.

I'm thinking of having my tummy tucked. In the past 10 years I've had 4 pregnancies and 5 DSs, DS1 was 10.8lb, DS2 was 12.3lb, DS3 was 11.9lb and DTSs combined birth weight was just under 13lb. I wouldn't change them for the world, but after having 5 rather big babies in the space of 10 years, my poor belly is completely trashed.

I was very slim before the DSs and still am now, but 3 years since my last pregnancy my belly is still measuring the same as when I was about 24 weeks pregnant last time round. It's definitely not fat, it's just a lot of excess skin from where my belly's been so stretched, and I'm very, very conscious of it. It sticks out so far that I do get people who don't know me assuming I'm pregnant, I feel really embarrassed and it does stop me living my life to the full.

Now it's been 3 years since I last gave birth I've kind of accepted that my belly isn't going to go down anymore on its own, this is just the way it's going to be. So I'm thinking about having a tummy tuck to get rid of the excess skin. The only thing is that although I don't want more DCs at the moment, I may change my mind in a few years. Would I still be able to have a normal pregnancy after a tummy tuck?

I have no idea about safety etc, but personally would wait until absolutely sure that I didn't want anymore DCs, for fear of tummy going floppy again and wasting the money I'd spent!

I had a tummy tuck in June 2008, had my first son in July 2010 and will have my second next month.

I have experienced NO problems whatsoever although I did have a "mini tuck" - i.e., only excess skin removed - there was no underlying problem or surgery on the muscles below. For both pregnancies, particularly the first, I've had a very small and tight bump - some people haven't realised I was pregnant. But, then this could simply be genetic - my mum didn't show much either. My tummy has not been stretched further by either pregnancy, nor have I developed stretch marks.
