AFAIK, hospitals will disregard everything other than the date indicated by the scan. I was in a similar position, the midwives all agreed with me that my due date was around the 21st of the month, but they were obliged to go with an official due date of 13th, because that's what the scan said. In the event, DS came along on the 23rd... Tell your friend not to worry at all, it's essentially meaningless. :)

I wouldn't worry too much, there's only a 4 days difference between her LMP and the scans indication. Scans rarely match up with LMP dates anyway as I understand it and it's only if it's more than a week out that they may look into it.

Can I ask, why does she think that as her due date may be later, she thinks she's gotta have a csection? Also which ultrasound was it, 12weeks?

I read it as she's having a planned cs? Is she worried she'll go into labour before the cs as it'll be about 4 days later than it would if they went by her dates? Do you know at what stage they're planning to do the cs?
