Have just got out of hospital after three days of 'bed rest' and whilst in i was diagnosed with PGP, which hasn't come as a surprise as i've been in agony for a while now.

Saw a lovely physio, who's going to send for me in a week or so.

Any ideas what to epect?

What is PGP?

PGP = pelvic girdle pain, otherwise known as SPD. I saw a physio for this during my first pregnancy - she gave me a big elastic corset type thing to wear under my bump to support the weight and monitored my range of movement (including how wide I could part my legs ready for labour). Most helpful were the tips - keep your knees together as much as possible, especially getting in and out of cars or bed, turning in bed and getting into the bath (sit on the side and bring both legs over together). Avoid lifting or pushing heavy weights. Climb stairs one at a time. I also had a water birth which helped hugely with the pain. They may offer you crutches or a wheelchair if the pain gets very bad.

Oh right, sorry, have heard of SPD, but not PCP. Maybe it might help to do a MN search on the topic. I'm sure someone else has gone through something similar.

Sorry to hear you're in pain :(
