Eyelashes and Eyebrows falling out 26 weeks pregnant?!?

Is it just another joy of pregnancy, or does it indicate something I should get checked out ie iron levels before my next scheduled appointment in three weeks?

This is DC4, and not experienced this before,although I had a bad reaction to mascara in my last pregnancy but that caused swelling,itchyness and apart from noticing how sparse and short they have gone I have no other discomfort.

Any ideas? x

Ask doctor to check for under active thyroid - losing hair including eyelashes is a symptom of it.

Thanks dear, is it a pregnancy thing, thyroid or just coincidence? Are there any other symptoms?

If you look on thyroid.co.uk (think that's it) they have a symptom sheet. It's something that if you are diagnosed with you have all your life. I went undiagnosed for a few years after being quite poorly while pregnant with DD2. Am fine now and pg with number 3. You do get free prescriptions with it as well :).

Thanks very much deardear, I'll have a look now and call GP on monday, I've just been diagnosed with carpel tunnel as well! Oh the joys!
