Nearly 8 weeks pg with number three. Youngest is just one.

I feel horrific, I am bursting out of my clothes all ready which is really getting me down, it's not baby so basically I'm a fat bloated mess with shit skin and exhaustion.

Wasn't like this last two times. Is it because I'm older and body already fucked a bit tired.

Im also still BF dd2 and Mw has said I should take vitamins because of this.

Any of you lot PG with number 3?

Number 4. I feel geriatric - but I felt pretty ropey with Dd1 nearly a decade ago, so I'm trying to focus on it being temporary.

Weirdly, I lost loads of weight after DC3 - which was completely opposite to my 'my life is over, my figure's ruined, I'm now a matronly woman forever' previous mindset.

First trimester is particualrly shitty. Have you got MS?

namechangerbat · 30/12/2011 10:06

Nausea all day long bu it's the exhaustion an the mood swings

I am not pg, but my friend who is normally a size 8 has had 3 ds. She started to show at 6 weeks, by the end her bump was enormous. It was almost in it's own time zone! Just joking. The good news is her ds3 was a normal weight, and her tummy has gone back to normal. My skin was awful when I was pg. I was allergic to everything. The only thing I could was with was aqueous cream. I didn't need maternity clothes until I was 6 or 7 months with ds1, but ds2 I was in them at the start of 5. I think your body is more accommodating because it has done this before. Make sure you rest and eat well, get someone to babysit for an hour if your little one doesn't have a daytime nap, maybe once a week. I remember being tired when I was pg. I know I may get flamed for this, but would you be less tired if you gave up bf? I didn't bf mine so I don't know, but it seems to me that your body is having to work hard to do two things for other people as well as carrying you around! It will soon be the second trimester which in my opinion is the best.

spanky2 · 30/12/2011 10:08

I had mood swings too, I forgot about that!

TheFirstMrsGClooney · 30/12/2011 10:10

Hi, I was (still am) feeling the same and am now 30 wks with DC3. Don't know if it all just hangs out a lot quicker this time?! I was wearing mat trousers and jeans by 9/10wks, was 13/14wks with the other 2...

Am heartened by footprints comments about losing loads of weight after DC3 Grin, could def do with some of that.

puzzletree · 30/12/2011 10:18

Hi, I'm 13 weeks pregnant with number 3 and like you have been far more bloated and gas-filled with this pregnancy. Have been in leggings since week 5 whereas in previous two I was still wearing my normal jeans at this point. I have also been more tired, though am starting to feel a bit better now than the past few months and I don't think my belly's actually any bigger than at week 5. The first trimester has really dragged! Hope you feel better in a few weeks.

Vinolover · 30/12/2011 12:10

I feel exactly the same! Im 7w 6d and have felt sick for a good couple of weeks now, except strangly over xmas but I think that has more to do with eating all the time. I feel drained all the time. Not to the point where im constantly asleep but very lathargic. My tummy was massive over xmas but has gone down now, must have been a lot of wind Wink.

Vinolover · 30/12/2011 12:10

Oh, this is also my 3rd pregnancy but my youngest has just turned 7!

justasmallglass · 30/12/2011 16:43

7 weeks pg with number 2. Had forgotten how bad the tiredness can be, surprising when he or she is so so tiny..what I didn't experience last time were the mood swings, feeling pretty rotten, but I am told it is fairly normal in the first trimester. Feeling a little better today as dh has finally taken ds (18 months) out to give me a rest, I can say it has helped. We all need time to ourselves, especially now, easier said than done I know.

aethelfleda · 30/12/2011 17:19

I'm at the end of preg number 3 and felt dire at your point, really tired, sick, un motivated: the good news is that when i hit second trimester the fatigue got a lot better, my skin cleared up, and basically it all felt a lot more manageable. My DDs are older than your DCs but even so, I hope you'll be feeling a bit less awful soon.

Sarahmarie2505 · 30/12/2011 17:28

EatingLemonCheesecake · 30/12/2011 21:02

namechangerbat · 30/12/2011 21:04

to cope once their here???? It's so nice to hear your all feeling rough in a nice way let's hope it passes soon x

EatingLemonCheesecake · 31/12/2011 14:09

anyone got any tricks that help a little to share? Sometimes a hot water bottle on the top of my tummy/chest seems to help the vile nausea/heartburn/sickyness and cold milk pushes it down a bit but very short term oh and raw carrots for some reason! The usual ginger biscuits/crackers help a bit but its all short term help. The tirdness is mad isnt it? It'd be ok if it was once in a while but i cant even stay up later then the kids more then once or twice a week! Ah sure dh saw plenty of me in the ttc stage let absence make the heart grow fonder and all that :) i just feel miserable and grumpy and i still cant let myself get too excited "just incase" so i dont even let myself think happy thoughts to try to get through this which i know is totally irrational... Oh yep and anyone else a bag of hormones? Balled hysterically at grays anatomy the other night for a good ten min solid... Hormones!

namechangerbat · 31/12/2011 14:11
