Period type pains at 17 weeks, just stretching?

Hi,
I'm 17+1 with my first child. I have been having period type aches today and yesterday, I feel quite bruised almost in that area. I just wondered if anyone else had felt similar aches and pains around this point in their pregnancy. Could it just be strecthing?

Obviously with it being Christmas I couldn't see the Midwife/Doctor until next week.

I particularly had this with dtds, but also dd1 so sounds normal to me... mention it to your mw when you next see her. It's only a worry if there's fresh blood ime.

Thank you. I think I just needed a bit of reassurance. Not had any blood. I'm quite tiny, so I guess things have to really stretch :)

I asked my GP about this exact thing on Thursday. She said it was normal. (I think there is an implicit "so long as not crippling pain/ accompanied by other symptoms like bleeding etc").

Yes i think so,i also thought, although it sounds a bit daft that maybe i need to get my maternity jeans out as my normal ones are a little bit too tight and i don't think that has helped either

I am really glad to see this. I have pains like period feels in ovary areas tonight. Left midnight mass came home in tears worrying dh. Had a mc in July and also a bleed with this pregnancy at ten weeks. Am so anxious. They aren't crippling pains but ther are bad and I don't feel right myself. Anyone get this?

Oh forgot to say am nearly seventeen weeks.
