If you got more spots when pregnant, did you have a boy or girl?

My sister is pregnant with her second child (she has one DS) and has been getting lots of spots on her face. She has heard that spots in pregnancy are linked with having a girl (apparently a study in France said you were 90% more likely to have a girl if you suffered spots during pregnancy) so I thought I would do a poll on here to see if there is any truth to this.

If you suffered bad skin while pregnant did you have a boy or a girl?Smile

I had good skin when pregnant with my boys, have been pretty spotty with this one so far, but also think I've not been drinking as much water or eating as healthily. Don't know what I'm having.

I thought spots were caused by testosterone and when pregnant with my DS, I had a lot more spots than when pregnant with DD.

Really bad spots on face, chest and back. Had a boy.
This time round not too bad at all just a few early on. So maybe a girl?!

Rosemallow · 24/12/2011 21:22

Pregnant with DD I had thick, shiny hair and glowing, clear skin.
Pregnant with DS and I had lank, greasy hair and spotty AND dry (unlucky!) skin.

Unfortunately nothing much has changed since having DS 10 months ago :(

Awful with 2nd pregnancy. Hair skin everything fell apart.
It was twins! Grin

Seems there is no link between breaking out in spots and baby's sex then! My sister has had a couple of scans so she knows there is just the one in there!Grin

Having 2nd baby and pregnancy is slightly different to the first. Had nausea from 6-7weeks that lasted roughly a month but had the best skin ever and had a boy! This time round however still the same morning sickness but my skin is red, itchy, sore and spotty! Not sure if Im more emotional too or if thats just my 3 yr old driving me round the bend?! : /

Lots of cystic, blind spots and having a boy. 24 weeks and it's starting to clear, though saying that I have looked 'well' despite the spots and my hair/nails are growing super fast.

I was also quite hairy for a bit but it seems to be easing along with the acne.

CrumblyMumbly · 27/10/2014 14:43

Skin, hair and nails were the best they'd ever been and had beautiful girl - I obviously had lots of beauty to go around (that's all changed now though!)

Kathy1983 · 29/01/2016 22:46

I have two boys and when I was having them my skin and hair where lovely. But with this baby my hair is dull and my skin is very bad and I have lots of spots and I am having a girl 💝

PollyPocket100 · 29/01/2016 22:55

I had quite bad skin before falling pregnant. My skin is currently bloody amazing (sorry to brag but never in my adult life have I been able to say that!) and I'm having a boy.

Doublebubblebubble · 29/01/2016 23:10

With dd I had spots everywhere including on my boobs!! with my twins (identical boys r.i.p) my skin was soooooooooooo clear. With ds I think I got one spot the whole pregnancy

WalkingBlind · 30/01/2016 01:13

I was awfully spotty with my girl and only mildly so with my boy.

Had a lot more greasy cravings with my girl though!

SushiAndTheBanshees · 30/01/2016 17:20

Loads of spots with my DD, never had any before.

Not a single one with my DS.

Frank85 · 30/01/2016 18:11

Im having a girl
Worst spots I have ever had in my life I'm actually thinking about having the scars zapped off after I'm done being pregnant

FortyFacedFuckers · 30/01/2016 18:18

I had a boy and my skin actually got better when I was pregnant. Although I did have PUPPS which was awful.

zannyminxoxox · 31/01/2016 14:03

Boy here, and I looked AWFUL from about 28 weeks onwards. Spots, greasy skin and face and soooo puffy!

All the way to 41+3 when they finally put me out of my misery and induced.

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 06/02/2016 23:51
