Hi all, I'm hoping for some reassurance I guess. I'm 17 weeks with DC3, and for the past few weeks I've had times of feeling pressure in my pelvic floor, and as though the bottom's going to drop out of me.

Perfectly normal? Or something to fret about? I didn't have anything similar with the other 2. I don't pee when I sneeze or anything, so haven't really been worried about my pelvic floor before.

Any experiences would be appreciated.

Maybe it's just everything stretching? I'm 17 weeks with DC1. I feel 'full' in my pelvic region, and when I go for a wee it can be a bit uncomfortable. I also occassionally get slight cramps. Had my wee tested and I'm all clear for UTI and thrush, so the Doctor thinks it's just round ligament pain.

Maybe phone your Doctor and just see anyway? x

probably best to mention it to your mw, i had cramps and uncomfortable feeling and they gave me an internal scan to check my cervix.

hello plumer lady yes I am not yet 17 weeks, am 15 weeks on Sunday but have a similar feeling it is like there is something wrong with my bottom/rectum. I originally posted about this as constant rectal pressure, but maybe I am just used to it or maybe it has changed, but it feels sort of odd and yes like my bottom might drop out, I understand that. My partner also says my farts smell like the drains so I am feeling fantasticaly sexy at the moment! I did call my mw when this started and she said I was probably just more aware of my body and it was pelvic floor. It feels odd when I first sit down and sometimes feels like if someone knocked me then it would be awfully painful. I am due my 16 week appointment and will ask to get it checked out but am pleased you have posted this, I wondered if it was just normal... let me know how you get on and I will write when I have spoken to mw.. surfmama

Many thanks for the responses, surfmama, I'm so glad someone understands - do please let me know how you get on with the MW.
