Is it hopeful thinking or is labour close?

I have had period pain since 4.30 this morning, back, belly and down legs with some delightful shooting pains up my....

Can labour start like this? With my DS my waters broke and the contractions came on gradually.

I'm not due til the 9th Jan but my DS was 10 days early so.....?

It could well be, or it could be a warm up (a Christmas day baby maybe). Only time will tell.... Just make sure you are organised, and try to relax as much as possible. Can you take a paracetamol for the pain?

Hopefully, but do go get urine checked in case it is a urine infection instead! Hope the birth goes wonderfully when ever it is.
