16weeks pain in side

i woke up this morning with a stitch like pain on my right side going ll the way round to the back.it is making me feel sick. my bump is sitting to the right and is a lot bigger on that side, is this a normal pregnancy pain?

It could be a normal pregnancy pain but I'd say call your midwife and discuss it to put your mind at rest. Pregnancy can cause so many weird things to happen to your body and it's hard to tell what's ok and what's not so call MW and see what they say.

If it helps I've generally gone along the lines of, if I feel ok it's probably ok, regardless of pain and sickness. If I feel concerned or worried or just not right I ask my MW of GP. They'd rather you check than ignore something.
